It was a great day for a ride! On Saturday, three Fun Rides were simultaneously held in two provinces – one in British Columbia and two locations in Ontario.
Sixteen riders participated in the Port Coquitlam Fun Ride. One of the riders shared, “It was a great day to ride and we we’re blessed with great food, fellowship, and riding together to help women in Rwanda.” More photos at the Canadian Bible Society Flickr site.
The Tri-City Fun Ride was the inaugural ride in the Cambridge-Waterloo-Kitchener area. Five riders, who are now considered the pioneers of the Tri-City ride, participated. Will Coros, Canadian Bible Society IT Manager and B4B Tri-City Ride organizer said, “Great scenery, great company and we even got to watch a rather large turtle laying her eggs along the side of the trail. Looking forward to a bigger ride next year.”
The weather forecast wasn’t great, but it did not stop our South River/Eagle Lake cyclists from riding for the many women and children in Rwanda. Eight riders helped to raise funds for the project. Rain stopped just as the ride began! Praise God for answered prayers! Thanks to our CBS-Ontario Governor Barb and her husband Nate for providing a great lunch!
